Did you know it is mandatory for Pennsylvania landfills to recycle at least 3 materials? We are proud to say that our facility recycles 18

different materials and we continue to look for opportunities to recycle additional materials.

Recycling not only saves landfill space but also reuses existing materials, thereby reducing the need to

harvest more of the earth’s limited resources.

At the landfill disposal site, our operators strive to remove wood and metal from waste loads.

At the Recycling Drop-Off Center located at the scalehouse, we accept appliances, electronics, car and

pick up truck tires, paper, cardboard, clothing, scrap metal, commingle (glass bottles and jars, plastic

food and beverage containers, aluminum and tin cans), waste vegetable and other non-motor oils,

fluorescent lights, rechargeable, alkaline, and car batteries, cell phones, and eye glasses.

Our Recycling Drop-Off Center is county approved. We also work with Berks County Solid Waste

Authority to make sure the county residents are aware of local collection events. If you are having a
