Western Berks Community Landfill and Recycling Center is located in a picturesque part of Berks County where
wildlife around the site is abundant and strictly protected. We balance our business goals with the keeping of the
natural scenic beauty around the landfill. Our employees play a key everyday role by keeping vigilance over the
environment and operations, by complying with solid waste management, air quality, storm water management and
groundwater protection plans. All this combined, our environmental goals and vision is to create a more on site
recycling and energy focused end use plan.
We are conveniently located near the intersection of route 724 and route 176. Quickly accessible to all of southeastern Pennsylvania.
Minutes from route 422 just outside of Reading and only minutes from the PA Turnpike at the Morgantown exit. See map/location pages for
directions.
With our landfill expansion permit, granted in March 2007, this gives the landfill approximately 10 more years of life. We are able to accept
1000 tons per day; including Municipal Solid Waste, Construction and Demo Materials, Residual Waste and Special Waste.
FULLY INTEGRATED DISPOSAL SOLUTIONS
The common ownership between Western Berks Community Landfill and Ches-Mont Disposal means all of your disposal needs can be
satisfied with one phone call. Our transportation resources and our disposal capabilities make us a valuable asset to the community and
businesses throughout Southeastern PA.
Our landfill employees are available to answer any questions, process your material, provide quick turnaround of your trucks, maintain safe
operation while unloading, and advise on any technical issues as needed.
Our expanded Recycling Drop-Off Center is open to all Berks county residents during regular business hours. It is quick and easy to access.
Our employees can provide assistance as needed. We proudly support the local Berks County Solid Waste Authority sponsored cleanup
programs, and participate in local and statewide “clean ups” such as The PA Great American Clean Up and the COALS project. We also
enjoy giving tours to groups of all ages and participating in school and civic events. Please contact us if we can help you with a project or
event, or if you would like to schedule a tour. We welcome new ideas from the community and environmental interest groups.
